About Us

My name is Lalo Ochoa. I am a lifelong resident of North Sacramento, a product of its schools, and now a proud Twin Rivers parent. Our schools shaped who I am, and today they’ve shaped the future of my own children.

I am running for Twin Rivers Unified School District School Board because I believe deeply in the power of community and solidarity. When families, educators, students, and neighbors work together with respect and shared purpose, our children thrive. Every student — regardless of background, neighborhood, or circumstance — deserves a safe, supportive, and high-quality education. 

I understand the hopes families carry and the challenges they face. Strong leadership begins with listening. As a Trustee, I will prioritize transparency, collaboration, and thoughtful decision-making grounded in what is best for students. We must support our teachers and staff, strengthen family engagement, and ensure resources are directed where they are needed most.

Community is not just where we live — it is how we show up for one another. Twin Rivers belongs to all of us. Together, we can build trust, expand opportunity, and create schools where every child feels valued, prepared, and inspired.
